Minbuza

MINBUZA in Japanese means folk dance group.

Through the medium of Japanese folk dance, MINBUZA introduces audiences to the culture and history of Japan and the spirit of the Japanese people! We maintain an extensive collection of authentic music, colorful costumes and props, which enable us to perform traditional dances from all over Japan. Various interesting customs and occupations are highlighted in the course of each performance.

We have performed at theaters, museums, schools, and at many different types of venues and events, including the Gwinnett Performing Arts Center, Atlanta GA., Epcot Pavilion at Disney World Florida, the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade NYC, and the Brooklyn Botanic Garden’s Cherry Blossom Festival. In the entertainment field, we have appeared on the Regis and Kelly TV show and in Madonna’s music video-“Nothing Really Matters”. We have also performed internationally in Switzerland and Russia with Taikoza on their European Tour. Minbuza is especially proud of its work with various public and private school audiences.
